RIGHTEOUS PRACTICE AMP - POWER CHORD HEAVEN

Fired it
up, plugged in... and completely lost track of the time TWO HOURS of
entertaining myself with this. And that's mostly just playing with the
overdrive mode, which is definitely the very best part of this little
powerhouse. If you need something lightweight and portable to amplify
your guitar so you can practice, this 100% covers that. If you want it
to be LOUD - this gets amazingly loud, especially for something so itty
bitty. Not drums or regular amps in the room loud, obviously, but loud
enough that you will annoy (or impress?) someone in the next room. If
you want some heavy power chord good sounding distortion with enough
gain to give you tons of sustain, THIS IS THE SWEET SPOT for this little
monster. Really I had a freaking BLAST playing over/with it last night.
And as soon as I was done with dinner tonight, I plugged in again when I
was originally intending to do something else. That says a lot. You
have to pair the Bluetooth each time. I like that, actually. BUT there's
a big problem with the Bluetooth: it plays only one stereo channel ...
the LEFT channel and barely the right, but it's DEFINITELY missing most
of the right - the same holds true regardless of whether you are using
the speakers or headphones. I also checked to be sure it's not because
of some use of phase shifting for stereo separation on guitar solos.
It's not. Speaking of which, the headphone jack works with both TRS and
TRRS plugs. Guitar volume is handled by the volume button, Bluetooth
volume is handled by source device. I played at reasonably low level for
two hours over the speakers and the battery did not quit. The speakers
sound great, by the way. I'm super, super impressed. I'm sure there will
be lots of people turning their nose up at the tone or the quality of
the distortion but I freaking LOVE it. I've been playing electric guitar
for 32ish years and if I tweak things enough I can get this sounding
pretty close to my old Boss distortion pedal I got in the 90's. I can
also get .. um... I want to say ridiculously over-emphasized, like
cliché (level 11) fat, even flabby distortion without it actually
breaking completely apart, and that alone is a bunch of fun, so you can
get some belly laughs out of this when you play around with it. The
clean is good sounding too. Probably would sound even better if I had
better humbuckers. I JUST WISH THIS THING HAD REVERB! If I can find the
time I'll upload a sample of what it sounds like.
