arrived in a timely manner and was exceptionally well packed. No
cosmetic flaws on any of the pieces. Assembly instructions were not
included. Luckily videos (especially for fine-tuning the vibrato
bridge/tailpiece) are readily found on YT. Most everything fit together
easily, but several pilot holes were not present. And others needed to
be drilled out before screws would bite into the wood. There is a
noticeable but thankfully minor gap where the neck bolts to the body.

To
be on the safe side, I did add some copper foil shielding to the body
cavities and this extra step seems to have benefited in minimalizing the
amount of hum. Definitely recommend completing that additional
procedure. The neck was surprisingly playable with very little fret
sprout. Truss rod works as intended and straightened the bow
accordingly. The frets do need some polishing as they have a bit of a
rough and gritty feel, but only a minor issue.

The
paint finish overall was applied quite well, with very even layers of
color and gloss. No chips or similar flaws at all, although a couple of
extremely minor sanding issues can be spotted through the finish -
certainly not a deal breaker. The color is listed as 'Sonic Blue' and
is shown as a very close approximation to the original 1960s shade of
the same name. However, the color on my example unquestionably sports a
greenish hue and is NOT in the blue family of colors.

The
Leo Jaymz name and logo are branded into the neck pocket on the body,
but sadly no identification is visible anywhere on the instrument
itself. Seems they would want to include the same technique onto the
headstock. Would add a nice amount of dress-up to the guitar IMO,
although without such allows owners to order a custom decal for a more
personalized ownership experience.

Overall
very satisfied with the end result of this purchase. Definitely a fun
project with very few inconveniences to overcome. It certainly exceeded
my expectations. And for the dollars spent - an unbelievable value for
sure.
