First Leo Jaymz and wow!

After
looking at some reviews online for some inexpensive electric guitars,
Leo Jaymz seemed decently well reviewed. A coupon for this popped up and
I grabbed the US Flag one. It is gorgeous. Also, the flag looks colored
into the wood and is not a print. I say that because you can clearly
see the grain pattern and I was looking at images of other ones of this
same type and the grain patterns do not match. Which makes it more
likely to not be a print glued on top and then sealed in. Which is
usually the common trick to do with these cheaper guitars to make them
look more expensive.  Out of the box it wasn't tuned as expected, but
was intonated fairly decent. The action was just a smidge high, but very
playable. The set screws in the saddles were not cranked all the way
down or up so there was plenty of adjustability to get the actions and
intonation where I want them. The strings are decent for what they are
worth. I am still fairly new to playing and only play for myself so I am
not looking to drop super expensive strings on a new guitar I buy right
away if I can help it. Tuners move smoothly and adjust well for me. The
pickups are decent for me.

Its
a great looking, great playing guitar that needed very little setup to
get going. For the price as a new player there isn't much more I could
ask for.
