DIY Guitar Kit
-
This Rickenbacker style bass kit was of amazing quality. Its heavy and it even sounds like a Rick. I have a Review channel and review quite a bit of DIY kits and I have to say this this in my top 3. The plug and play wiring simply puts it over the top. Set up was a breeze and everything worked great. Hardware is all good

Neck was straight and true, frets level, just needed end cleanup. Neck pocket fit was perfect no adjustment needed. Body was solid and cleanly routed. Most of the hardware was useable, the tuners were very sloppy and needed replacement, they worked, but not well. There was some final fine tuning here and there, as would be expected with any kit.

Picked up on of these kits for a custom Jem build for my YouTube channel. and was blown away by the wood quality and detail. I decided to make a replica of the Ibanez JEM77 WDP "Woody" and it turned out amazing. The fretboard was first rate , The the entire build turned out impeccable.I will be buying another soon!.. Thank You Leo Jaymz

Looks great. Wood is not sanded to a point where you can apply the finish. You must sand the wood in order to apply the finish with a good 320 grit or smaller. The instructions are the worst I have ever seen. The project cannot be assembled unless you have extensive knowledge of the internal workings of a bass guitar. A resistor (I think) is included but not shown on the wiring diagram! Where does it go? No one knows! There is no help with the wiring. Assembly of the project is very if-fy and incomplete.
